Hay To Return Dubious Cash

WOLLONGONG MP and ALP fundraiser Noreen Hay says she will return any political donations that fall under the ICAC cloud.

"Wherever there is doubt about the integrity of donors, I will be returning that donation," she told the Mercury yesterday.

Mrs Hay said she had received only about $6000 from those named in the ICAC investigations this week, but would return all questionable funds.

She said there had been questions raised over whether certain people and companies named in the ICAC inquiry had attended functions she had organised.

Mrs Hay said Joe Scimone had bought only one or two tickets and the suggestion that money from Wideform came from developer Glen Tabak was questionable.

NSW Premier Morris Iemma said there was no need to review the party's relationship with developers after functions attended by them and Police Minister David Campbell and Housing and Tourism Minister Matt Brown.

He said there was nothing on record to suggest untoward activities with the two ministers.
