LABOR MPs Noreen Hay and Lylea McMahon continue to resist scrutiny on their role in the boozy budget night celebrations which cost Kiama MP Matt Brown his spot on the frontbench.

Since allegations first arose, Ms Hay and Ms McMahon have not given a detailed account of their actions on the night.

Ms McMahon, who represents the state seat of Shellharbour, has remained resolutely tight-lipped regarding her actions during the night despite reports that she was present at the infamous party.

The Mercury has made repeated attempts to offer both MPs a chance to give their version of events.
